ENDLESS ACTION PROMISED AT PRONUTRO MAGALIES MONSTER MTB CLASSIC

The annual ProNutro Magalies Monster Mountain Bike Classic taking place on Saturday, 29 May 2010 in Buffelspoort is going to be bigger and better than ever.  This amazing event started with only 240 competitors in 2003 and has grown to become one of the highlights on the annual MTB calendar sporting 1250 entrants in 2009.

The key draw-card of the event is the opportunity riders have to traverse the northern slope of the Magaliesberg range along an awesome 9km climb that is affectionately known as the Monster, which captulates the real beauty of the Magaliesberg Mountains with amazing rock formations and pristine vegetation as well as magnificent views of the Buffelspoort Valley.

Event-organisers are striving to give all mountain bike enthusiasts the unique opportunity of riding some of the best mountain bike trails in the country, hence the choice between a 20km, 45km and 75km route.  These awesome routes include mountains, tough climbs, technical-single-track, undulating jeep-track, adrenaline-pumping down hills and pure countryside – everything a quality mountain bike route should have and all this in the heart of the Magaliesberg Mountain Range.

According to Harry Schubert, father of the Magalies Monster, the 2010 event is going to be better than ever.  “This year we promise competitors two things:  we guarantee firstly better than ever value for money and secondly a raised level of organization so that every entrant has a fantastic experience.  To ensure that the second promise is fulfilled we have joined forces with well-known event organisers, Stillwater Sport & Entertainment.  We are excited by this joint venture and can’t wait to put together an event like no other,” says Schubert.

Stillwater Sport & Entertainment is a team of professionals devoted to the creation, management and running of international standard sporting events.  Event and office staff combine business skills with the heritage of competitive sportsmen and women, which enables Stillwater to understand what athletes, supporters and sponsors require to make an event a success.
