Yard Sale - (from skiing) a horrendous crash that leaves all your various "wares" -- water bottles, pump, tool bag, etc. -- scattered as if on display for sale. Yakima -If only car racks weren't so expensive. But Yakima's racks are so good, so solid, you get the feeling you're getting your money's worth. If you've got an old car and you're buying Yakima, pick the slightly more expensive Q style towers - because they'll fit on your next car, too. Yeti -Legendary high performance was what Yeti was all about. John Parker's company made super-expensive, ultralight aluminum and dual-suspension frames that were always among the most desired and innovative on the circuit. Yeti - now owned by Schwinn - still makes great frames, but with Parker gone, there's less legend spinning around the product. Yoga -When I was growing up, there was an underpass on the way to school that had this graffiti: "You take yoga so you can bite your wally." That's a fringe benefit I've never been totally attracted to, but the main event is that it will keep you supple, build your strength, reduce your stress, and relieve your aches and pains. Sometimes I like it even better than bikeriding. |
